is a key strategy of the Provincial Grand Master Russell Howard aimed at increasing the membership of both the Mark and the Royal Ark Mariner Masonic Orders within the Province of Bedfordshire.
The New Members’ Programme encompasses a range of diverse activities aimed at promoting Mark Masonry and encouraging membership and includes current initiatives such as:
Appointment of a new Provincial Communications Officer: responsible for promoting the Mark Degree to all other audiences using every available means of communication.
On-Line Strategy: including the development of a new Provincial website to inform both the general public and members of the Craft within Bedfordshire about Mark Masonry, and the use of social media with a new Provincial Facebook page planned to help promote Mark Masonry within Bedfordshire, which will be launched shortly.
Mark Awareness Evenings: are a series of planned presentations open to all Master Masons of Bedfordshire, designed to provide an informal yet informative presentation of Mark Masonry. The presentations will take place in the various Masonic centres in Bedfordshire throughout the year, and aim to provide information to any master mason who may be interested in joining the Mark. Please see the Provincial Calendar for the dates of the next one and if you are interested in attending a Mark Awareness Evening please register your interest by contacting the Provincial Grand Secretary or completing the on-line form.
The New Members’ Programme also recognises that as well as increasing membership, in both the Mark and Royal Ark Mariners, it is just as important to provide initiatives for members once they have joined to ensure they get the most out of their membership, and includes current initiatives such as:
On-Line Strategy: including the development of a Provincial members’ portal to keep informed the members of the Mark Province of Bedfordshire and the use of social media through a Provincial facebook group for Mark members in Bedfordshire.
The Travellers: a group of Mark Master Masons whose members support local Mark Lodges by regularly visiting and when needed assisting at any meeting.
Specialist Ceremonial Team: supervised by the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies to provide a team member or members for any Lodge seeking assistance in performing their ceremonies.
The Provincial Team are here to help prospective members and existing members from time of enquiry to when you join and throughout your membership, and are committed to developing and implementing such initiatives as part of the New Members’ Programme as will provide the best outcome. If you would like to know more about becoming a member or would like any other information please contact the Provincial Grand Secretary or complete the on-line form.
The Provincial Grand Master Russell Howard and the Mark Master Masons of Bedfordshire look forward to welcoming you into Mark Masonry.
