and Make YOUR Mark In Life, be part of what many members, many of whom are also members of other Masonic Orders as well as Mark, describe as being as relevant today as the Craftsman’s Mark was in centuries past.
Whether you are taking your first step in becoming a Freemason and are interested in Mark Masonry and what it embodies, or are already a Master Mason of a Craft Lodge and would like to join a Mark Master Mason’s Lodge within the Province of Bedfordshire, then the first step in the process of becoming a member is to contact the Provincial Grand Secretary or complete the on-line form.
Upon receiving your enquiry, the Provincial Grand Secretary will contact you to discuss with you the best way forward as well as to discuss the Province’s New Members Programme; an initiative of the Provincial Grand Master which provides support to all new members, from the time of their enquiry until after joining an individual Mark or Royal Ark Mariner Lodge.
Three Key Reasons for Becoming a Mark Master Mason
First, there are many terms and phrases which are introduced within Craft Masonry as a Freemason progresses through Craft Masonry which remain a mystery and many of these peculiarities of the Craft become much clearer in the Mark.
A second reason is that the Mark is not only a true Craftsman’s Degree but it also teaches, in a delightful way, many invaluable practical lessons about life. Such lessons the Craftsman learns, in a dramatic way, in the ceremonies, and he also learns how to apply them in the way he conducts himself through life.
The third reason is that the Mark Degree provides essential background and symbolism to a member’s Masonic knowledge whilst providing an essential qualification to other Orders in Masonry.
